many opportunities for corporations and individuals to get involved
in the fight against cancer.

- fishin4acure Hooked
on Smiles Program
- This program is a volunteer network of fisherman who take
pediatric cancer patients and members of their families on guided
fishing trips throughout the state of Alabama .

- Airport Marine has teamed up
with fishin4acure and the Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation (ABFN)
to help expand our fight against childhood cancer. Airport Marine
has generously guaranteed at least $1500 in bonus money to Alabama
B.A.S.S. Federation Nation members who have become a F4AC team
member (donated $100 to fishin4acure). The highest finisher in each
of ABFN’s four regional tournaments who is a member of the F4AC team
will be awarded a $250 bonus. That bonus will double at the State
Championship to $500! Furthermore, the bonus will double at each
event if the winner owns and fished from a boat that was purchased from Airport Marine within two years
of the date of the event.
Key Elements of the Bonus Program
• Members must donate $100 to Fishin 4 A Cure. Each $100
contribution will go directly to help fund the fight against
childhood cancer and is tax deductible and makes each donor a F4AC
team member.
• The highest placed F4AC team member will be guaranteed a bonus
check from Airport Marine of $250 for each of the 4 qualifying ABFN
events and $500 for the State Championship.
• The bonus checks will double to $500 for the qualifying ABFN
events and to $1000 at the State Championship, if the highest placed
F4AC team member owns a qualified (*) boat purchased from Airport
Marine.
• (*) A qualified boat is any boat purchased from Airport Marine
within 2 years of the date of the event. F4AC team members must be
the original purchaser and current owner. Airport Marine must
confirm eligibility for the bonus to double.

Fundraising Competition -

- Mark’s Outdoor Sports has teamed up with the Alabama B.A.S.S.
Federation Nation and Fishin4aCure to promote a fundraising
competition. The competition is to raise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
It will begin March 1, 2009 and end at the Alabama
B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Championship on October 24, 2009. The
competition will be promoted monthly with news releases on the
Federation Nation and Fishin4aCure websites, as well as at each
of the Federation Nation tournaments. The top 3 clubs that raise the
most money during the competition will be awarded gift certificates
totaling $5000. The competition’s goal is to raise $25,000 for
pediatric cancer research. Competition rules are below.
1) Only Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Clubs in good standing
are eligible for the competition.
2) Each club must designate a Competition Director who will be
responsible for overseeing the contributions for each club. The
Competition Director will be responsible for receiving all
contributions and submitting them in a timely manner to Fishin 4 a
Cure. The Competition Director for each club will have direct
contact to Fishin 4 a Cure Board members for support during the
competition.
3) The top three clubs will be awarded gift certificates as follows:
• First Place will receive twenty five $100 gift certificates.
• Second Place will receive fifteen $100 gift certificates.
• Third Place will receive ten $100 gift certificates.
4) Winning clubs may distribute their gift certificates at their
discretion, however only two certificates may be redeemed at one
time by one individual.
5) The winning clubs will be featured on the Fishin 4 a Cure and
Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation websites.

at the Lake
- Pediatric cancer patients and
their families are invited to enjoy a day at a private facility that
has stocked fishing lakes and other
amenities that make this event an unforgettable experience for all
who attend.

Charity Tournament
- An annual fishing tournament that raises awareness for our
mission and provides an opportunity to thank our corporate sponsors.

fishin4acure Fundraising
Competition
- he ABFN has over 1200 members located throughout the state. This
program’s goal is to raise $120,000 annually ($100 per member)
through a fundraising competition that lasts throughout the length
of the ABFN tournament season.
